Where am I going?

Karen,
First, you should know that this is my first effort at blogging. Bear with me if I push the wrong buttons.
I wanted to tell you that I heard a nice, and laudatory profile on the Karmapa Lama on NPR ove this past weekend. You might want to get it off their website.
Also, I just scrolled down to see where you list the daily schedule of the monks, and show a couple of periods of "study". One fascinating question to me is what "study" means to a monk? Are their cognitive functions the same as ours? Or has their intense focus on meditation altered their other intellectual processes in ways yet to be studied. You'll be in a unique position to begin to look for am amswer to this question.
Bon Voyage.
